    Ingredients

    • 2 + ½ cups light milk (625 ml)
    • ½ cup cream (100 ml) (18% fat)
    • 3 tbsp semolina (40 g)
    • 2 tbsp wheat flour (40 g)
    • 2 tbsp corn starch (30 g)
    • 2 tbsp butter (30 g)
    • 1 tsp rose water
    • 14 g Splenda Granulated (10 full tsp)

    Add milk, cream, semolina, corn starch, flour and Splenda Granulated Sweetener into a deep pot.

    Boil over medium heat, whisking continuously.

    When it starts to boil and the cream gets a thick consistency, remove from the stove. Add butter and rose water.

    Pour the cream mixture into a glass bowl and cover with cling film.

    Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

    Once the ashta cream has cooled sufficiently, you can use it in your pastries.

    * If sugar was used instead of Splenda, 1 tablespoon would be 50 calories!
